Pulling to/away from a curb

Pulling to a Curb:

- Turn your signal on in the direction your pulling to the curb and check your rearview mirror

- Press the brake with a steady pressure allowing the vehicle to continue rolling

- Aim about 20-30 feet ahead to the gutter line or 6-8 inches from the curb

- Pull onto the gutter line or 6-8 inches from the curb with your vehicle parallel to the curb 

- Place the vehicle's gear lever in park

Pulling away from a Curb:

- Place the vehicle's gear lever in drive

- Signal in the direction your pulling away from the Curb

- Check your blind spot over your shoulder in the direction your pulling away from the curb

- Turn the steering wheel 1/4 turn in the direction your pulling away from the curb

- Release brake pressure and straighten your vehicle's wheels while gradually accelerating
