Entering Expressways:

- As you enter the On Ramp, make sure to look into the lane far enough ahead to keep from turning wide off the road

- Glance over your shoulder in the direction your going to merge with traffic

- Find a safe gap in traffic and adjust your speed to fit in it (remember merging Vehicle's have more responsibility to avoid a collision)

- Signal in the direction your merging

- Accelerate to the legal speed and maintain a safe space cushion

Exiting Expressways:

- Make sure you know your exit well in advance and move into the proper lane at least 1/2 mile before exiting

- Signal about a block before the Off Ramp

- Check for possible conflicts with other vehicles before exiting 

- Slow down to posted Ramp speed or so that you have complete control

- Make sure to look into the lane far enough ahead to keep from turning wide off the road

- Adjust to the speed of the road you've entered considering velocitation
